Review by hotel critic
PiccoloDuring my recent stay at Hotel Piccolo, I was keen to analyze the balance of luxury and value it offers to guests. While the hotel's location is slightly removed from the bustling city centre, it remains conveniently near the train station, making it accessible for those exploring beyond the immediate area. A pleasant aspect was the option to leave our luggage prior to check-in, showcasing a thoughtful service commitment. The room, though basic, was immaculately clean and equipped with useful amenities such as a flat-screen TV and an electric kettle – small touches that enhance comfort. The soundproofing also allowed for undisturbed sleep, which was crucial given the early morning wake-up from the deliciously aromatic breakfast. A diverse breakfast selection provided a delightful start to each day, with attentive staff ensuring everything was replenished in a timely manner. The firmness of the bed was notably uncomfortable for me, creating a need for improvement in bedding options. Piccolo is a good compromise between cost-effectiveness and comfort, offering a clean and respectable stay with adequate amenities in a serene setting. For travelers weighing luxury against financial considerations, it’s a solid choice.
