While the hotel's location is slightly removed from the bustling city centre, it remains conveniently near the train station, making it accessible for those exploring beyond the immediate area. A pleasant aspect was the option to leave our luggage prior to check-in, showcasing a thoughtful service commitment. The room, though basic, was immaculately clean and equipped with useful amenities such as a flat-screen TV and an electric kettle - small touches that enhance comfort. The soundproofing also allowed for undisturbed sleep, which was crucial given the early morning wake-up from the deliciously aromatic breakfast. A diverse breakfast selection provided a delightful start to each day, with attentive staff ensuring everything was replenished in a timely manner. The firmness of the bed was notably uncomfortable for me, creating a need for improvement in bedding options. Piccolo is a good compromise between cost-effectiveness and comfort, offering a clean and respectable stay with adequate amenities in a serene setting. For travelers weighing luxury against financial considerations, it's a solid choice.
